EMPLOYEES STATE INSURANCE

Employees State Insurance is a self-financing social security & Health Insurance Scheme for employees in India. The Establishments with 10 or more employees are required to be registered in the scheme.The Employees who are drawing Rs.21,000/- or less will fall under the scheme and contribution to respective wages are to be made. The Employer contributes 3.25% and the employee contributes .75% of their gross wages. The Employees registered in ESI are entitled to medical benefit for themselves and also for their dependants which also includes super speciality treatments.
